Classic wide oak planks with bevelled edges are full of rustic charm and finished to a high specification using UV cured natural oil. Oak trees are grown in managed forests and selected for their maturity, but no two trees are the same – so the random lengths of this plank allow us to use the whole tree during production. A series of 6 steel brushes are applied to remove the soft grain from the top layer the rustic hardwood surface whilst sympathetically following the natural contours of the wide section of oak. The wear layer is then spray coated with coats of durable matt lacquer. The resulting plank is both wonderfully tactile and ultimately hardwearing, the rich, textured surface deflecting everyday wear and scratches. Also available in matching Herringbone.
